Kigezi home of orphan`s project? This Project deals with helping and giving hope to the orphans and Vulnerable Children in Kanungu District, Kigezi Region intending to cover the whole of Uganda and East Africa in Particular.
Back ground of the project
The neglect of orphans by the society has resulted into orphans to move into streets of most towns of Kigezi region and Uganda in particular. This has caused a problems of robbery, murder, prostitution and other evil things has caused most Community and family systems break down which has been caused by lack of basic Needs.
It is for these devastating effects of orphans on the communities and families of Kigezi that led the promoter and founder members as well, Julius Katemba to look for the best ways and approaches in 2010 to help orphans & eradication of poverty through collective efforts with people.
This project started its operation in 2010 in Katojo �Rutenga Kanungu district. Currently the project is carried out in Kigezi region intending to take place in other parts of the country and Africa as whole.
1.3 Mission
To promote socio-Economic activities among the orphans and Vulnerable of Kanungu-Kigezi and Uganda at large through involvement in income generating projects like; poultry, piggery, Bee keeping, Rabbit rearing, Zero grazing of cattle, small scale business, in hand craft like beautiful necklaces, baskets, bags, mats and other business ventures, to reduce or eradicate effects of robbery, murder and prostitution etc in Kigezi and Uganda as whole.
1.4 Vision
Our vision is to improve the well being of all orphans and Volnerable through helping them and equipping them with vocational skills so as they can get basic needs of life in line with food, shelter, clothes and education. The promoter of Kigezi home of orphans` project shall ensure that its mission is achieved in order to attain its objectives.

Article 4: Objectives.
1. To promote a culture of being a job creator other than job seeker to the orphans and vulnerable through skills training in hand craft like beautiful necklaces , baskets, bags, mats and other crafts and are trying to sell them in all countries over the world. The money raised helps them to cater for their basic needs. In order to enhance their competitiveness in quality production and profitability.
2. To educate and provide counseling services to the Orphans and vulnerable on the dangers and effects of HIV/AIDS and other STDs that may be got from prostitution of which many people have taken as a source of their income especially orphans. On this Note we are facing challenges with some of the orphans who are HIV/AIDS Positive living .
3. Create, enhance and encourage income generating projects like growing of vegetables, Bee keeping and Piggery or Goat rearing to help orphans and promote their welfare for a better future.
4. To promote and encourage Academic courses or Programmes that lead to job creation or self employment than under going for courses that lead to white collar jobs only which are not available and have led to Unemployment .
5. To encourage self reliance among the orphans through provision of advisory services on how to make savings, minimize un necessary peer groups and immoral behaviour.
6. Promote career guidance to the students from primary, senior secondary levels to take up subjects or courses that have a multiple of job opportunities to increase on chances of getting self employed and skills.
7. To mobilize funds for the youth at different levels of education that can help them attain their education or complete their studies and help those who have already finished their studies to start up their self income generating projects.
8. To develop the orphans economically, socially, religiously and politically as one community and to also co-operate with their fellow members

Article 5: Guiding Principles
The project is guided by the Principle that every orphan and vulnerable is entitled to get basic needs like any other children in the world.
Kigezi Home of Orphans Project staff shall work for the attainment and the material well being of all the beneficiaries with the aim of attaining the best quality of life.

We at Kigezi Home of Orphans members do value efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of services for poverty eradication and personal growth.

We emphasize participation and Community empowerment munity participation should be emphasized in all Kigezi Home of Orphans activities. This is done with the aim of facilitating project Implementation, Ownership and Management within its area of operation.

Article 6: Key Issues to be addressed shall include the following

1. To promote and encourage study courses that lead to job creation/self employment than under going for courses that lead to white color jobs only.

2. To encourage self reliance of individual members of Kigezi Home Of orphans Project through provision of advisory services on how to make savings.

3. To promote the welfare and development of small, medium, and large projects of members of Kigezi Home of Orphans Project by giving relevant skills training programs through regular up grading and refresher courses

4. To promote the economic self reliance of orphans by encourage income generating activities to communities and families of Uganda and improve on their standards of living.

5. Promote carrier guidance to the orphans from senior secondary levels to the higher institutions of learning to take up subjects or courses that have a multiple of job opportunities to increase on chances of getting jobs.

6. To mobilize funds for the orphans at different levels of education that can help them attain their education or complete their studies and help those who have already finished their studies to start up their self income generating projects.

7. To educate and provide counseling services to the masses on the dangers and effects of HIV/AIDS and other STDs that may be got from prostitution of which many people have taken as a source of their income.
